How You Can Learn to Set Positive Goals in Your Life

By: Mohamed Abdul Rauf Bin Mohamed Yusope

It has been almost a year exactly since my late mum fought bravely against Leukemia. I remembered her for being a wonderful person who showed love, care, concern and most important of all courage. It was devastating initially for me when I lost her. I still do miss her but I realized that challenges are meant to be part of life and it helps you grow to be a better person. I decided to conquer my fear and planned on what I want in life.

I realized now that if you believe in your goals and dreams, you will be able to achieve even impossible goals. I remembered setting one of my goals back then; to play my other passion, football(soccer) against better players in this world to improve myself in the game before I am 30. One year on, I have played against better players in countries such as South Korea and Australia, been interviewed and featured in a local newspaper, and online magazine/newsletter. Another great part was through this, I am able to inspire the young ones. I remembered visiting my late mum a few days ago and telling myself. I have achieved things which I once thought would be impossible for me.

Now a year on, as I watch, listen and learn more from great leaders such as Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump, I have set a new goal for my life. My goal is through my knowledge and experiences, I am able to touch lives, inspire motivated individuals to reach their goals and dreams. Once I decided on this, I created and crafted my plan to achieve this goal.

For a start, I learn that leading by example of constantly seeking knowledge, sharing it with others, focusing on habits that constantly improve yourself, being grateful, developing your strengths, accepting appreciation and criticisms helps an individual grow tremendously. I have realized that the more individuals want to learn more about improving themselves, the more meaningful and exciting life is. These people tend to achieve more growth and success than others.

Do bear in mind, in learning more; you will be in more uncomfortable positions and you tend to make more mistakes. I remembered reading Rich Dad ,THE BUSINESS SCHOOL for People Who Like Helping People, making a mistake, admitting it without blaming your mistake on someone else, or justifying or making excuses is how we learn. A very powerful learning value I felt from Robert Kiyosaki teaching.

Through Internet and wonderful tools such as home business, I certainly learn that one can sets goals that can benefits others too. And that is a real beauty I felt.
